February is the month of love. But why not self love, friendship love or family love? This project is for the girls and woman in your life… or for you!
We are going to create a hair clip with flowers. One that you can either wear to your Valentine’s Day’s date or just in any other day that you feel like it. Sometimes all it takes is something as small and simple as a different hair accessory to make you feel pretty and hopeful about life.
The hair clip I created for this month’s project was made – no surprise here – from leftovers from another project but you can choose and pick and choose your own flowers. I bought a white plain hair clip to serve as my base and hot glue to just get it all together. The list of materials is short and the time this project takes from you is barely noticeable.
Here’s what you are going to need:
- Plain Hair clip
- Fake Flowers
- Hot glue gun
I used foam paper flowers that came in jute cord. I try to stay clear of plastics as much as I can, even though it can be a convenient material to craft with.
If your flowers are attached to a cord, like mine, you can wrap it around in a way that the flowers are placed on the top in a line. If you are – otherwise – using flowers separately just cut them and glue them into place. Since I was working with a bit of cord as well, I wrapped the jute and left a few ends loose because I actually liked the way the hanged through the hair.
I loved the result so I hope you do to! Good luck and enjoy feeling beautiful.
